Basically, detoxification means cleansing the blood.

We are in constant contact with harmful organisms and pollutants. They are in our water, in our food, and in the air we breathe; it’s very difficult to get away from them.
The source of many health issues is the toxins that have built up in our bodies over the years.

The body has several systems in place for removing waste. The excretory system plays the largest role in detoxification. The most obvious job of this system is defecation and urination. The main organs that compose the excretory system are the skin, liver, lungs, large intestine, and kidneys.

It’s the liver’s job to filter and excrete waste, hormones, drugs, and other foreign substances.
The lungs help remove carbon dioxide (the waste gas resulting from breathing).
The large intestine has several important jobs. It absorbs water and remaining nutrients from food. It also converts waste into stool to be expelled from the body through defecation.
The kidneys filter the blood and help remove waste from the body through urination.

The entire body relies on this system to live a healthy life. Your body is detoxifying itself all the time, around the clock, 24/7. Even your brain flushes out toxins while you sleep. It’s essential to take care of these organs and allow them to do their job.

Learn to truly take care of yourself and listen to your body when something is or is not working.
If you are having frequent headaches, stomach upset, diarrhea, constipation, feel exhausted, experience cramping, difficulty focusing, lack of energy, or any other symptoms that don’t feel right, then always take the time to listen to your body. This will ensure that you know that something is amiss and can likely pinpoint that a cleanse is required.
Cleansing can be done in so many different ways. You want to try different methods and then see which ones work best for you. It’s also important to recognize regular cleansing as part of a truly healthy lifestyle.

        Here we GO !!

Quit The Bad Habits

You are never going to be able to be your best if you are smoking, drinking too much alcohol or caffeine, or engaging in an ongoing cycle of bad diets.

The only way to truly detoxify the body is to quit these bad habits and learn to focus on healthier living instead.
You can try hypnosis to quit your bad habits or even EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) also known as "Tapping".
For EFT you can go here (Youtube videos)

Try fasting for a day or two

You don’t have to go to extreme measures as so many cleansing programs will tell you to do. Simply fasting for a day or two and replacing foods with natural juices made from fresh fruits and vegetables can really help. You don’t have to do this often, but you should make it a priority in your life.

When you give your body a chance to rest in this capacity, then it has time to recuperate and rejuvenate. The organs don’t have to be focused on digestion and breaking down food and potential toxins. So as they rest they have a chance to recharge, and that means that you are going to come back from this with natural energy and a more effective digestive system.

Perform a fast like this when you have some time at home and can be away from any food temptations. Try do perform this on a weekend where it’s much easier for you to fast and to let the body rest and recharge. You will be surprised at how much natural energy you feel and how much better you feel afterwards.

Wake up with Lemon

As soon as you wake up, drink a glass of warm water with fresh lemon squeezed in. It will provide your body with hydrating electrolytes in the form of potassium, calcium, and magnesium.
We get dehydrated overnight as the body takes care of its detoxification processes, so it's important to hydrate and replenish first thing. Lemon juice also helps your liver produce more enzymes, which aid digestion and prompt the liver to purge toxins. The vitamin C in lemon juice, a powerful antioxidant, protects against free radicals, strengthening the immune system.

Start Cooking More at Home

When you eat processed foods, fast foods, or just eat something on the run out of convenience, you are not giving your body what it really needs.
These foods are full of sodium, sugar, preservatives, additives, and a whole list of chemicals that you can’t even pronounce, nor understand.
It pays off big time to plan out, prepare, and cook your meals at home so that you remain in control over exactly what you eat.Though it’s not always easy to make the time to cook more at home, if you plan ahead and make this a true commitment, it will become a habit like anything else.
Explore fresh ingredients and see how much better you feel by making this one swap in your life.
It’s not that difficult to do and when you get rid of the processed foods, you also come to appreciate what real food should actually taste like too.
Detoxifying can actually be a very positive thing in your life!

Choose the Right Foods

One of the best things you can do to support your body’s detoxification process is to lighten its load and decrease the toxins you put in your body in the first place. Choose organic vegetables and fruits over fast food and other processed foods. GMO products and pesticide contaminated foods add harmful toxins to your diet. Avoid them like the plague.

Eat your Broccoli

Reduce chronic inflammation—which has been linked to heart disease, diabetes, and cancer—by filling your plate with sulfur-rich foods, such as onions, garlic, and cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, kale, collard greens, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower.
These foods are high in antioxidants, which support the body’s ability to fight off toxins.

Learn to incorporate Superfoods into each meal

The great thing about superfoods is that they contain important nutrients and antioxidants which our bodies need to fight off infections. The presence of these antioxidants and nutrients in the body help to fight off harmful toxins and substances that may compromise our immune system and our overall health—so the inclusion of them in our diets is critical.

Superfoods are a delicious and nutritious group of foods including foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids like:

*Salmon
*Tuna
*Avocado
*Walnuts
*Almonds
*Olive Oil
*Flax Seeds

You can also turn to fruits and vegetables that are bright in color as that means that their dark hue contains plenty of antioxidants. Options such as these make great choices for this reason:

*Blueberries
*Raspberries
*Spinach
*Kale
*Eggplant
*Tomatoes
*Carrots
*Sweet Potatoes
*Apples
*Oranges
*Butternut Squash

Try to incorporate super foods into every meal and enjoy how beneficial they are. They not only make for healthy and low fat food choices, but they also help you to boost your antioxidant intake.

Take Pure Vitamins and Minerals

Many people tend to think that their food supply is enough to give them the nutrients that they need, but you often can’t eat enough to help you detox and get healthier. Be sure to add emphasis to certain nutrients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and iron.
A good multivitamin supplement is always a good idea because it helps to fill in gaps, but you may also wish to increase your intake of certain nutrients to ensure that you don’t become deficient.
Taking proper amounts of the needed vitamins and minerals can also help to boost your immune system.

Turn to Probiotics to get rid of the bad bacteria and welcome-in the good kind

You may have heard of probiotics or perhaps you don’t know much, but these powerful substances help to naturally eliminate bad bacteria in the body. Knowing that they work in this way, it’s time to put probiotics to work for you.

Cut out simple carbohydrates, white sugar and flour, and any fried foods

The white bread that you probably enjoyed as a kid is doing absolutely nothing for your overall health. The starchy sides at dinner like white rice or pasta are as damaging to your waistline and your health as the more extreme donuts, cakes, and cookies that you enjoy.
Many people don’t understand just how harmful products made with white sugar or flour can be, but they result in toxins in the body that you don’t want. These simple carbohydrates make you feel full and satisfied when you eat them, but behind the scenes you are experiencing a surge and then fall of your blood sugar level.

Exercise and Meditation

Exercise and meditation help maintain a healthy body. Exercising helps you sweat, and sweating helps release toxins through your skin. Studies have found trace amounts of arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury in sweat. Meditation helps you clear your mind and reduce stress. Stress can be as toxic to your health as chemicals. A troubled mind can cause the physical body to function poorly.

Use Essential Oils

When you are performing a cleanse or even trying to create a healthier environment, breathing in diffused essential oils can really help you.
Not only can they help to ease physical symptoms, but they may also lift your emotional and mental health.

There is great power in using these pure and effective oils if you want to detoxify and help to reset your health in a really enjoyable way.

Diet

Detoxifying your body is not only about what you avoid, but also about what you consume. Following a healthy diet can go a long way. There are also many foods that aid detoxification — garlic, lemon, broccoli sprouts, mung beans, and raw vegetables.

Many diets promote cleansing and detoxification. I follow and recommend a strict raw, organic, vegan diet, but there are other options if this isn’t for you. You could also try a raw alkaline diet. It’s a temporary cleanse consisting of uncooked fruits and vegetables and raw nuts, seeds, and sprouts. It’s a great strategy for detoxing the colon and liver. A juice diet is also helpful and is centered around consuming freshly-made fruit and vegetable juice—preferably organic.

Purify the Air You Breathe

Breathing clean air is another way to reduce your exposure to toxins. While you can’t control the whole environment, you can control the air in your home. Smoke, fumes, pet dander, mold, mildew, and microorganisms can make the air in your home more toxic than the air outside. A high-quality air purification device is the best way to keep your air fresh and toxin-free. If a quality air purification device is out of your budget, get a few house plants instead; they’re nature’s air fresheners. They help filter the air and remove toxins.

Purify Your Body With Water

Water is possibly the most valuable tool for detoxifying your body. The body’s most basic functions require water. Your body needs water to produce saliva, help with perspiration, and remove waste.

Cut Your Sugar Intake

Decrease the amount of sugar you consume and that includes honey, molasses, and artificial sweeteners.

"If you eat more sugar, you ask your body for more insulin, straining your pancreas and wearing yourself out," he says. "In the long term, this kind of habit can cause you to become chronically fatigued, diabetic, develop cancer, and pack on excess weight."

Take some vitamin C

It helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins.

Eat plenty of Fiber

This includes brown rice and organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Beets, radishes, artichokes, cabbage, broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are excellent detoxifying foods.

Replace a meal each day with a detoxifying smoothie

Turning to a smoothie for one of your meals is a great way to jumpstart your metabolism and to kick your digestive system into overdrive. You will notice that natural energy that you feel and you will also enjoy that some of the symptoms that you suffer with daily are gone with this natural boost.

Green Smoothie :
• 1 cup kale or collard greens firmly packed, stems removed, coarsely chopped (4 ounces)
• 1 Granny Smith apple, coarsely chopped
• 1 ripe banana.
• 1/2 cup loosely packed fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves

Combine kale, apple, banana, parsley, and 2 1/4 cups water in a blender; blend until smooth.
If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water.

Move Your Body

Regular exercise encourages circulation in the blood and lymph system. Doing so will also enhance digestion, reduce tension, lubricate joints, and strengthen your body. It's a proven fact. People who exercise regularly have far fewer total toxins in their systems.
Breathe deeply to allow oxygen to circulate more completely through your system.
Transform stress by emphasizing positive emotions.

Get in more Sleep each night

You may look at sleep as a luxury, but it’s an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Without proper sleep you can gain weight, you may have a compromised immune system, and of course you lack natural energy. Sleep deprivation is unfortunately all too common as we put this off in the interest of getting other things done.

The problem is that lack of sleep can catch up on you after awhile. The body wears down and this shows through in a compromised immune system that means you get sick more easily.

Practice Hydrotherapy

Take a very hot shower for five minutes, allowing the water to run on your back. Follow with cold water for 30 seconds. Do this three times, and then get into bed for 30 minutes.

Drink a Lot of Tea

Not only is tea full of antioxidants, it hydrates you (especially if it's herbal) and fills you up. This means you will be less likely to overeat or eat the wrong things.
Also, green tea offers important antioxidants that our body needs in the most natural form. It offers a slight caffeine boost that can help to get you jump started in the morning, just as coffee does. So if you choose to replace your morning cup of coffee with a cup of green tea you still get a caffeine boost and some actual health benefits as well.
Teas containing dandelion or milk thistle may boost liver function, helping to decrease the build-up of toxins in the tissues.

Eat Organic

A colorful variety of fruits and veggies should be the main focus of your diet, along with whole grains, beans and legumes, and small amounts of nuts and seeds

You should eat whole plant foods because processed foods lack the nutrients your body needs. Dark green vegetables, for instance, are full of micronutrients and are very low in calories, so you can eat a lot of them.

Combat Environmental Pollutants

Don't forget that pollution and allergens are all around you. They're in the air and can trigger allergy symptoms (such as yucky, puffy, red eyes). Flush your nasal passages regularly with a Neti Pot. Doing so can eliminate the side effects of air pollutants and lead to better breathing naturally. If you use the Neti Pot before bed, even better—it will enhance your sleep.

Sweat It Out in a Sauna

Use a sauna regularly. There's nothing more detoxing than sweating it out.

Get a good and intense Massage

Get a good intense massage that focuses greatly on the pressure points within the body. A typical Swedish massage is good, but something more intense and focused like a Sports massage can work even better.

Try Acupuncture for a truly balanced body

This is one of the best forms of cleansing, but few of us know much about it. Acupuncture is a part of holistic medicine that may help to naturally heal some of your biggest health problems, while also helping you to cleanse any blockages of toxins in the body.

Massage Pressure Points

You have several pressure points on your body and this is where a lot of your tension may reside.
The most notable ones are the meaty part of your palm in between your thumb and forefinger, your temples, and the high point of your arch on the ball of your foot.
The point is that you get into a habit of massaging and putting light pressure on them and it will help you to detox in a rather enjoyable way that you can handle on your own.
By targeting these pressure points specifically, you can relieve the tension that you feel and ultimately release any toxin build up. It only takes a few minutes of your day and really feels good; it’s something easy to commit to and to execute each day.
This procedure is worth trying and it may even help you with common daily ailments such as headaches or stomach discomfort, or even common aches and pains.

Exfoliate

Skin brushing and oil massages will help exfoliate the toxins from your skin and refresh circulation.

Take a bath with Epsom Salt

The salt draws toxins from the body by making you sweat them from your skin. These natural salts are also said to help cleanse your colon when added to water.
Add about two cups of Epsom salts then soak for 20 minutes. Epsom salts contain magnesium, as well as other minerals and nutrients that are absorbed into your skin during the bath, and can help with detoxification processes. The mineral specifically helps kick up action in the colon, prompting the body to eliminate backed up waste (read: poo), which can otherwise get reabsorbed into the bloodstream if it sticks around long enough. If you always feel constipated, talk to your doctor about trying a 1,000 mg magnesium citrate supplement at night to keep things moving.

Turn to home remedies for illness rather than antibiotics

The very medications that are intended to help your illnesses or health conditions may be contributing to toxins in the body. Though antibiotics and other medications are intended to help you to stay healthy, they also contain harmful substances that can build up in your intestines and digestive system over time.

Though some medications may be very necessary, it’s always best to try home remedies whenever possible. If you can fight off a common illness using options like ginger, garlic, a smoothie, or other natural herbs or plants, then you have a good chance at achieving better health and performing a cleanse in the process.

Use Chiropractic Services

Just as you would get a massage to move out toxins, chiropractic services can work much in the same way and can help to complement therapeutic massage.
You can help to relieve and even solve everything from sinus problems to constant neck or back ache with regular adjustments.
You are, of course, helping to get rid of any toxins built up that may even be contributing to the problem areas.
Though you might not think of this as a traditional detox strategy, it can really help to alleviate your problems and ensure that you have a healthier foundation moving forward.

Promote elimination through proper diet and hydration

The truth is that most of us don’t properly eliminate each and every day. Unless you are very regular with your bowel movements and even your urination, you are holding onto waste in the body that need not be there. So this is where you must really focus some concerted effort on elimination, and put major emphasis on the diet that you keep and how hydrated you are.

Perform a full Body Cleanse every month to get rid of any toxins that have built up

Perform a full body cleanse when you plan to be at home for a day or two and then see the immediate positive impact that this has as the toxins literally come spilling out of the body—don’t be alarmed with some of what you see!
There are many different ways to cleanse the body in this manner, but you want to go for the homemade option if possible. While there are many manmade concoctions and “proven” solutions out there, some of the best types come from your creation specifically. Do be sure to go with a trusted source or recipe, and there are some very common ones out there.

One very common recipe is the Lemon, Maple Syrup, Cayenne cleanse, which is as follows:

*Pour ½ tsp. of cayenne pepper into a 10-ounce glass.
*Add 4 Tbsp. of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
* Fill the glass with warm water and stir thoroughly.
*Add ½ tsp. of organic maple syrup to sweeten the mixture, if desired.
*Drink on an empty stomach each month to cleanse your colon.
*Cayenne pepper breaks down mucus in your colon, while lemon juice eliminates toxins.
*Do take the time to experiment with your threshold for cayenne pepper so that you don’t hurt your stomach.
*Be prepared that this can elicit immediate reaction and that it may be unusual for you to experience at first, but it’s a great cleanse.
*This is really not intended for weight loss, but rather for a good natural cleanse that your body needs no more than once per month.

Another possible cleansing recipe to try out is the Apple, Ginger, Psyllium Cleanse, and the recipe is:

* Juice enough apples to fill an 8 oz. glass.
* If you do not have a juicer, fill the glass with organic apple juice.
*Add 1 tsp. each ground ginger and ground psyllium husk.
*Mix thoroughly or blend on low until smooth.
*Psyllium binds waste materials together, while ginger flushes toxins from the colon so it’s a great combination.
*The nutrients in the apple juice will support your colon during the cleanse.
*Do be sure to drink plenty of water after this cleanse to keep the digestive system moving.
*You can enjoy some light eating after you perform this cleanse, but give it time to take effect.

A proper cleanse using these (or other) natural methods performed once a week can be the best thing you can do to get rid of toxins and keep things moving the way that they are intended to.

Keep a Gratitude Journal

Do remember that detox strategies aren’t just about disposing of the toxins for physical well-being, but also achieving a better state of mind and a truly positive mindset.

A gratitude journal is a way of achieving that positive mindset and having a way of starting over to reset.
You are getting rid of negative energy and of bad attitude when you are forced to focus on what you are truly grateful for.
By writing such thoughts down, you help to capture them and ensure that this is a positive effort for you in your life.
Remember that it’s not only important to detox in your physical well-being, but your mental and emotional well-being too. The more you can tune into nurturing your whole self, the more you are detoxifying the negative from your life. If you’re grateful or happy for it, then write it down and see how this small gesture can change your life.
